Position Purpose

Design, develop and delivery of all training programs assigned, such as Banking & Finance (technical topics) training programs, for APAC to help build and enhance the technical competencies of our employees in the region.

As the Learning Partner for designated business lines / functions, be the key contact on all matters relating to training for the respective populations.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and delivery of training programs for APAC to help build and enhance the technical competencies of our employees in the region :

• Understand the training requirement of the business/functions through evaluation of the PDP data

• Engage with key managers of the business lines/functions, in collaboration with Country L&Ds and Learning Partners, to address specific training needs related to product/technical topics

• Have a good understanding of training scope and objectives, and propose appropriate learning solutions

• Identify and work with internal speakers and/or external training providers to design appropriate training contents

• Evaluate alternative external training providers and make recommendations for selection

• Ensure relevance of technical/product training programs to business needs

• Regularly explore suitable training programs in the market for implementation in, or to be curated for, APAC-wide or country/business-specific populations

• Work closely with the Country L&Ds to bring appropriate trainings to the countries to help make training offerings more accessible to the local populations

Learning Partner to designated business lines / functions. As the key contact for these business lines on all matters relating to training :

• Be familiar with the overall scope of population in these groups

• Have a macro view on the overall training needs of the groups

• Work with the business to develop, where appropriate, and update learning paths for the staff

• Actively follow-up with the business on specific training initiatives or training needs

• Contribute as a coordinator between these business lines and other program managers on training matters

 Handle applications to the IBF Singapore for FTS/STS accreditation of training programs :

• Liaise with training providers for information required by the IBF, eg. course materials, trainer’s biography including Fit & Proper declaration

• Ascertain that training programs fulfil specific requirements of the IBFB

• Address questions from the IBF regarding the application

Other transversal responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal/external customers and vendors

• Maintain a network of best in class training providers and share with APAC L&D community

• Contribute to the internal communication strategy of articles and training-related messages

• Handle ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by management

Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)

• Strong experience within L&D in designing and delivering high impact programs

• Project management skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office – Word, Excel & Powerpoint

• Strong team spirit and relationship skills

• Good drive for initiative and a pro-active spirit

• Appreciate the design as well as administrative and logistics aspect of the role
